This round started out once again with both men meeting in the town of the octagon where they proceeded to replacement punches none of which landed. Jardine attempted his first right leg roundhouse kick of the round only to have it blocked by Liddell.
For the next 30 seconds, Liddell and Jardine stalked each other around the octagon occasionally throwing a few punches.
